2nd/12th Anniversary Party

Our second year as Charlie & Echo, but our twelfth year overall, and we’re celebrating with loads of new releases, live music, food, trivia, and games!

Note there are no tickets this year for the event – just come and have fun!

2nd/12th Anniversary Release
Just like last year, we’ve made a special release just for our anniversary. This year we’ve created a sparkling Cabernet Sauvignon and Apple Cider hybrid! This wine was all naturally fermented with wild yeast from the grapes and apples, and also naturally cask conditioned in a firkin. Eighty percent Cab and twenty percent cider (blend of 15 different apple varieties), all sourced out of Julian – and there’s only 15 bottles! If there is somehow any left after the party, it’ll be exclusive to Wine Club.

2017 Old School Release
We released the 2017 Old School sparkling at last year’s Anniversary, and this year, we have the still wine version of this ridiculously rare wine. Made from Flame Tokay grown in a tiny, 80-year-old vineyard consisting of only 50 vines in Ramona, we have just 30 bottles of this wonderment. As with the Anniversary Release, if there is any left after the party, it will be exclusive to Wine Club.

2017 Clara Rose Release
Our Clara Rose is back with a new vintage and a new blend! We held it back from release last summer to give it some extra time to age. This is no ordinary rosé, with flavors of strawberry sweet tart and tangerine sherbet. A blend of Syrah and Zinfandel out of Warner Springs, it is made with all wild yeast, unfiltered, and without any flavor or aroma additives.

Hard Spritzers Release
They were such a hit as Project X, that we are debuting the ongoing release of our Hard Spritzers! A refreshing, spritzy blend of wine and organically grown fruit, we’ll have the Lemon available on draught, along with Grapefruit and Orange in cans (cans to-go only)..

Sparkling Blackberry Sour Release
Part of the current Project X series, we’ll have a Sparkling Blackberry Sour on draught and in baby crowlers (aka 375 ml cans) while it lasts. All of the sours in the series so far have been a big hit, and this is sure to continue the streak.

All Bottles Open
We’ll open up our “can & bottle list only” wines, along with our Wine Club exclusives, so everyone will have nineteen wines (plus the Lemon Hard Spritzer) available to choose from for tastings and by the glass!

Live Music | 2:00 – 5:00 pm
Dave Booda will be on the guitar and singing some tunes with an easy island vibe for your enjoyment from 2:00 to 5:00 pm. Our inaugural live music performance!

Food | 4:00 – 8:00 pm
Our friends at Propaganda will pop up from 4:00 – 8:00 pm with a menu of tasty victuals. If you missed them at the Miralani Brunchabout, you missed out then, but you can feast now!

Special Topic Trivia | 5:30 – 7:00 pm
What do you know about wine? Or San Diego? Find out and garner prizes (and fame) with Trivia by Kevin Hay!

Wine Aroma Challenge | All Day
Sniff, sniff. Lemon? Rose? Cedar? Try out your sense of smell by correctly identifying five different aromas from our Le Nez Du Vin Wine Aroma Master Kit! Get them right, win some vino. Available all day.

Raffle Goodies | 1:30 – 8:30 pm
We’ll be raffling off some sweet goodies and brand new merch – beanies, hats, wine glasses, and such – every hour on the half-hour from 1:30 to 8:30 pm. Each time, we hand out additional raffle tickets – the longer you’re here, the more chances you have to win!
