tasting notes
Rich on the nose with honeysuckle, lemon, and peach, switching to lime and nectarine on the palate with a long, tingly finish.

winemaker’s notes
Viognier and Riesling harvested August 27 and 28, respectively. For each, gentle, slow, wholecluster press as for Champagne, taking the taille and some late cuvee portions to stainless tank. All spontaneous fermentations. Months after fermentations complete, wine chilled, sulfited and then bottled on January 30, 2022.

nota bene
A sibling to the sparkling Rainfall (same harvest, different press cut and vinting). A great interplay of Viognier and Riesling that both grow more minerally in San Diego County than most other expressions – that’s why it’s Uncharted.
